It's big so you can easily see what's going on. I wanted this because some spotters don't remember saying "Down!" with authority and I have kids and friends of kids who need their sink rate adjusted based on their weight and ability to get up on jet skis and boards, and we go in busy waters so watch out for other boats including those catching 100-foot fishing lines on the planning boards on the sides to keep you on your toes. I know John Deere CIPA attachments and the mirrors on our tractors are great, they vibrate and bounce. A neighbor just bought two mirrors that turn on and off in less than a minute, so I'm happy to report that this mirror is even better than I had hoped. The prices were MUCH better than my local marine dealer. I expect to pay more but when they quoted me $75 and I was under 1/2 I couldn't justify such a premium for what they should have ordered. It would be nice. The box is very strong but in order to save the settings I need to find a travel case for this mirror so as not to break or scratch it. I've wrapped myself in cloth and found a place for now, but if I find one nearby I'll make or buy a soft wrap. The buttons are really big so they're easy to put on and the textured finish on the painted metal is great. There is no glare from the mirror except from the mirror itself.
