I personally needed the strap to be thicker/wider as it is very narrow and thin. It is initially very sticky, which makes it difficult to apply to the eyelid. especially if you're trying to achieve a symmetrical look (make both eyes the same), but it's good for sticking around for the first few hours. Once you've created it, you can't customize it. So if you misplaced it you just have to throw it away and try again with a new piece of tape as it will pick up oil and skin and won't be sticky enough anymore. (Maybe that's why there are so many of them. I think at least half of my cassettes ended up in the trash trying to do this.) It takes a lot of practice to get these cassettes exactly where I want them, which is annoying like once you put them on they are good for the rest of the day. Or at least the next few hours. It depends on how much skin it's trying to hold and how much you sweat. But they don't last more than a day. It quickly becomes very oily, greasy and the edge of the tape starts to sting my eyes as they slide off. It also leaves a sticky residue on your eyelid that you need to wash off. Think of it like a daily makeup application, but remember that scotch and eyelid glue aren't good for your eyelids in the long run and can lead to even more sagging skin later. If you have an eyelid, learn to appreciate and accept it!
