Fidgety, finicky and definitely not for small hands

My kids are no slouch when it comes to assembling toys. We have Hape Quadrilla, both Duplo and regular Legos, Magna tiles, Thomas' vintage wooden dock and the best Fort building blocks for kids aged 2-14. I was really excited to add marble runner pieces to our current magnetic tiles but when the box was opened on Christmas morning it was a total disappointment. Even with two adults helping to stabilize the parts, my very mechanical 5 year old couldn't do the layout on the box. We rummaged through the box for instructions or a layout guide, but found nothing but a flyer for other products. We tried to freestyle it in some layouts but the tube parts are very hard to get to click the magnetic parts and any adjustment will cause the whole layout to collapse. She is completely frustrated and so am I, because his willingness to help was expensive. I would not recommend this toy to any child under the age of 10 or maybe 8 with the constant help of an adult.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Work pace
