I am particular about my journals. I usually buy journals with high quality paper like Hobonichi or Erin Condren depending on what I'm using them for. This is a decent paperweight that accepts ink nicely. I've used ballpoint, gel pen and fountain pen ink. The pages are a cream color and lined. I wish there was a dot grid version available when I purchased. This will last me a while. It's a little heavy but that's not a problem right now in my life. The pink cover is smooth and has not gotten very dirty and it's easy to wipe clean. The band is tight enough that I can slip my fountain pen in the top of it without worrying about losing it. The pages are numbered and the table of contents pages are enough that I think I'll be able to use them all without running out.
