I'm glad I'm ordering 42 pack not 20, you should use small sections if you have thick or natural hair. You really need to plan less than 1-2 hours to use it for the first time if it's your first time or second time use. Once you figure out what works for you you can style them much quicker, take your time. I was very frustrated when pulling my hair out caught in the middle and I had to pull the magic roller out of my head. didn't have to cut my hair. One of them was already broken so I couldn't use it from the start. I think it's better to make the hook closer so the hook doesn't stick out. I've only used them once and will use them again, hopefully I don't have to cut any out because it's too expensive to keep buying them just because they get stuck.
