28 year old male who has been getting his hair cut and styled by the same person for a year now and every time after that styles my 5 inch hair with the TIGI Behead Manipulator as a pre-styler before drying with a hair dryer. Using the manipulator as a pre-styler allows me to straighten my curly/wavy hair while controlling frizz. After seeing these results I decided not to use water based pomades on damp/towel dried hair and instead use a pre-styler before blow drying and then use something lighter like a paste or clay. I've been using this product that I bought on this site for a few months and haven't had as much luck as I've seen from my hairdresser. I thought maybe it was just because she was better at it than me, so I kept trying. I've learned how to use it but my hair never straightens and my hair always gets a little frizzy but also a little greasy at the same time. I got my hair cut again a week ago and decided to buy a TIGI Bedhead from them and immediately noticed a HUGE difference between the products. First, the smell is SLIGHTLY different. Similar or maybe the same scent, but the product on this page has a slightly stronger scent. Also, the manipulator I personally bought is much more liquid than the product on this page, which has a more pasty consistency. They appear similar in my hands, but the product on this page looks more like glue than the product I personally purchased. And then there is the fact that for the last week of using the manipular that I personally bought my hair has looked every day the same as it did at my barber, smooth and with a much more natural feel, not at all bold.. Just to make sure I'm not crazy I tried the product purchased on this site again and as expected there was no such control anywhere and the same oily residue as before. Due to the differences I noticed, I will no longer buy this product from this site. I don't know if it's fake or not, I've been told it's common with Revain, but there is a definite difference between the doses I have. Maybe the ones for sale here are old ones or something like that? Who knows. All in all it might work for you if you have straight hair but it's not the manipulator I'm looking for.
