Review on Comply Cancelling Audio Technical QuietComfort Replacement by Richard Cheng

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very comfortable interchangeable earbuds

I use these with BeatsX Bluetooth wireless headphones. I wanted more comfort, punchier bass and more isolation, which should mean you can turn down the volume and hear just as much, which saves your headphones or your phone's battery. Foam wears out faster than silicone tips. They fit the BeatsX fairly easily, but provide just enough tension so they're not easy to fall off or come loose when you take the headphones out of your ear. They're also very soft and soft, as expected, and are easy to roll and squeeze between your fingers to prep for your ear. much easier to hear the sound from the outside. I also know that they are very comfortable, fit snugly in the ear and are much more secure than silicone tips. Finally, I know this adds a little bit of bass density and punch. Not only that, but I feel like the soundstage has actually improved a lot, which I wasn't expecting. What I don't know is that you can use it to significantly lower the volume. I went back and forth with these and the silicone tips, and kept my phone at a volume that made it a bit harder to hear everything clearly with the silicone tips. Then I installed the foam tips and played the same song at the same volume. There may have been a slight improvement, but it seemed almost negligible, and negligible at best. It's odd because I've noticed that they block out noise much better than silicone earbuds, which would lead me to believe they should noticeably improve volume, but I just didn't see that in my very basic testing. I also feel that the high frequencies are slightly dampened by the foam. Not so much that it sounds bad, but barely noticeable. I've read to trim the tip slightly to improve the highs but I'm not ready to conclude that this is a must, but I'll update the review if I decide to try it . Didn't let me turn the volume down as expected, I like the improved isolation, a bit more bass and the unexpected opening up of the soundstage. I think if you don't use them and expect them to completely change your listening experience but need comfort and isolation, for the price they're easy to recommend.
