To be clear I have had the KAI 1005 for over 20 years. These were the best scissors I've ever owned. You can see in my photo the N5210L are identical and they are true left handed scissors. With my old pair I cut everything from flimsy fabrics and wrapping paper to corrugated cardboard and plastic buckets. I'll probably epoxidize the thumb grip and leave it as a backup. They are still better than my Fiskars. Be aware that the grips are smaller than Fiskars. One of the 1 star comments is that they are not for men with big hands. I have small hands for a man: the thumb is 7/8 inch in diameter, ring size 13 and quite narrow. In any case, this is probably only an issue if you're a big guy with big hands. The nut will loosen over time but can easily be hand tightened. In this review, the photo in the listing is incorrect and shows the correct pair. if they ever get left where your dog can get them!
