What's not to like?

I hate running on a treadmill. Well, to tell you the truth, I'm not a big fan of sports of any kind, but the guy in the mirror told me I'd better get on with the program before it's too late to fix the damage. My cutie works out every morning. Good for you. But the treadmill seems like medieval torture to me. I go out in the summer when it's not raining or when it's not too hot or too cold. But New England winters make it too dangerous to walk on icy roads, so I had a choice: exhaust myself to death on a treadmill or run on an icy road and risk being hit by a passing bus. But then a friend who is way smarter than me told me about Sharkmouth cleats that attach to your shoes and allow you to walk safely on ice and snow. I bought a pair. They saved me from winter boredom on the treadmill. The Sharkmouth braces are well made, with a durable elastic that wraps snugly around the shoe. I'm a large size and they are perfect for my size 11 shoes. The spikes are attached with strong chains that haven't ruined my shoes in the week I've been using them. They also go well with my running shoes. We live on a rural gravel road that gets icy early and stays frozen until spring. With my Sharkmouth clamps, walking down that slippery road is now risk free. I wouldn't say it's fun - it's exercise, of course - but I have no problem staying on my feet. Spikes dig in with a pleasant crunch with every step. Later I will see if I can climb a tree with them. If your life is so unsatisfactory that your only pastime is walking the icy roads, I recommend Sharkmouth clamps. They are not very expensive and work as advertised.
