Worked like a charm for my 3 month old
My daughter was only a few days old, 3 months old when she wore it for the first time at about 13lbs. It wasn't that difficult to put on, she didn't seem to mind wearing it. In the water she absolutely held her on her back and she was clearly comfortable and enjoying the water. Don't worry about water getting in your mouth or nose. We also put her on a canopy baby raft while wearing this vest to protect her from the sun and they worked well together. It was great not having to worry about their safety!
