I usually use professional photography equipment for my outdoor events. However, I don't want to risk expensive equipment when kayaking. I don't even want to risk my phone (which takes amazing photos). So I wanted to try something different for the upcoming trip. It had to be waterproof in case it went overboard (yes, I have a neck strap for that, but accidents happen!), and I didn't want to spend too much money on experiments. I also like the video option. Judging by the somewhat limited use of this camera so far it has served my needs well. Enlarging the video isn't the best, but it does the trick. However, the photo zoom could have been a bit better, but it's acceptable here too. Without zoom, the quality of photos and videos is excellent. This is the second waterproof camera I tried in my search and I decided to keep this one, they returned the other one.
