Review on πŸ‘Ÿ ASICS Women's Hyper LD 5 Track Shoe: A Lightweight and High-Performance Choice for Female Athletes by Patricia Dworin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lightest shoes = faster pace

I can increase them to 5 after getting them on the track. They are very sweet. I usually read and wear an 8 1/2 at ASICS in all my 24 years of running regardless of style so ordered 9 based on other reviews. However, they are perfect for a half size larger than full size. I have a full set of ASICS running shoes. I have the GT 2000 gels which are 1.2lbs, the three9 which are 1.1lbs, the dS gels are 0.9lbs, the 33 FAs are 1.1 (ugly and are only bought because they're on sale) and finally these .7 pound non-spiked Hyper LDs. lightest as they should be. I choose shoes based on the surface, the weather, the duration of the race, whether running or triathlon, to balance support and speed. My cadence is much higher due to the ankle strain of this shoe. Every single ounce can mean thousands of pounds at 180 or more per minute lifted from your ankles for 5K, 10K and even more in a half marathon and full marathon. I increased my cadence to 240W during a half marathon in the dS Gel running shoes, my lightest road support shoe. I didn't need these boots as I'm not a high school student but I wanted them and I want to get back on the speed track. You can see most of my current training line that I weighed. Call me asics fareeeek but chances are you are too if you are reading this. The only brand I will ever own.
