Even when you look at the operating instructions and ask questions on the Internet, the light bulbs don't stay in their sockets. The manual mentions removing the bulb when removing the seal, but there doesn't seem to be a way to reseal it. The tape doesn't help. Apparently there is a version of the pear with stronger pins. Oddly enough, the image in this Revain advert appears to have larger prongs than my original bulbs, but the bulbs I received look exactly like the originals. It was an exercise in frustration.
