I really wish I had thought of looking for something like this many years ago. It saved lives and money! It was easy to install and everyone helps keep the pit filled. We didn't notice any weird or aftertaste. Our system [in our house] is this: we have a water filter under the sink and we use it to fill the pitcher to pour into the tank - not that we have to do it that way, but we preferred it . , worked great. According to the instructions, we removed the support sleeve/bottle punch, assembled the device, placed it in the water cooler, filled it with water and everything worked perfectly. We've been using it for a few weeks now and it's great! Such a money saver!
