Review on Cuisinart AFP 7BKGCLR Processor Collar Black by Andrew Grant

OEM from Cuisinart. This worked really well as a replacement for our original broken stand mixer collar. They're pretty hard to find in white and only available in black. This part looks like new from old stock as it is not clear if they are still in production. Get it while you can. The initial failure is related to the inner center spindle attached to the planetary gear; it is initially weak by design. The metal is cast in plastic with two slots to hold angular torque. If the system is stressed too much, it will collapse and spin freely. Lesson learned, don't overload your food processor.
