Review on Under Armour Women's Micro Assert Athletic Shoes: Power and Performance for Women by Connie Lewis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The good, the bad and the beautiful.

Pros: They are roomy to carry and very light. I like the less thick sole as it feels less soft than other running shoes. I also like the slim fit, but wish they were a bit wider in the midfoot. Bad: they run small! I usually wear a 9 but ordered a 9.5 as I read they are small. I'm not used to the rear end, which hits just above the heel, being so high. I can't wear no show socks as they wear out over time. I was also surprised that the inserts are not removable. I took a chance and carefully ripped them out to use my own stakes. The insoles they supplied were very thin pieces of foam, offered no arch support, and were cheap. After I put my earplugs in, they felt much better. Nice: The pictures do not show how good these shoes are. On the side, under the black mesh, there are pink metal plates that are not visible in the photo. When light falls on them, they turn pink! There are also small cutouts on the heel through which the pink color shines through. I love black and pink so that was a bonus as soon as I opened the box! Overall a good shoe for the money. I will most likely wear them to run errands and go to the gym. I don't see them helping me run or walk fast.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
