Review on πŸ‹ KitchenAid Lemon Squeezer - No Mess Citrus Juicer, One Size by Dale Mankad

Very Efficient Lemon and Lime Squeezer

If you don't have a large electric juicer or don't want to mess with a large electric juicer when juicing lemons or limes, this manual juicer is your best bet. The spout you put in the lemon and then squeeze is very laborious and produces very little juice, and hand reamers squirt the juice and seeds everywhere. The KitchenAid citrus juicer is very cleverly designed, adding a third part, a seed strainer, between the top and bottom handles. You place a sliced lemon or lime cut-side down (rather than up as another reviewer recommends) in a colander large enough to hold a large lemon half, place the flattened base on a flat surface, and squeeze the top handle. Descent. This way the juice does not flow out of the press and the lemon is squeezed out and almost turned inside out. Pour the juice through the spout onto the base, then open the press to remove the husk and seeds from the container. I particularly like the fact that the base holds the juice rather than allowing the juice to flow through holes or slits onto the base. This allows you to place the base on a flat surface for more pressure and eliminates the need to balance the press over the container. I think KitchenAid has come up with an excellent design. If you want to make orange and grapefruit juice, you need a much bigger solution.
