Don't get me wrong just because I gave 4 stars. I like it! It's pretty neat. Reasonable amount of technology for the price. I think the name "Dory" already devalues it as a child's toy, but that's just my personal opinion. I almost didn't buy it just because of the name (sorry to whoever made the decision on that name). The Chasing Dory case is really good, but it only holds the sub, not the buoy or line. The first run was in my carp pond and they seem pretty cool to swim with. The moves are great and he can move pretty fast. It has several areas that could be improved. After my first videos I tried to look in the media but nothing was shown there. I have used the update several times but still no video. Then I quickly made another video and it didn't show up either. Even after restarting the device, the videos were not displayed. The next day when I started it I was able to see the video clips. I changed some settings, but next time I run it, the settings are back to the original values. The main problem with on-screen controls is that it's pretty easy to accidentally move up/down when you're just trying to pan left/right. I ordered the controller for 99β¬. The application has low speed and high speed, but in my opinion low is too low and high is too sensitive. I believe a hardware controller would improve this. The wireless range is disappointing. I have flying drones that cost less but have 100x the range. Now, of course, you don't need a 5000ft range for this device, but 50ft (phone to buoy) is pretty limited when you're on the shore of a small lake. The buoy can use a 50ft lifeline to land. I see it drifting more than 50 feet offshore and then you lose control and have to swim. The buoy has no attachment point for attaching a lifeline. You might be able to glue, stick Velcro, or attach a leash to it with a few clicks. The 2 megapixel camera is fine. Most of these problems are related to video file compression. These aren't very important issues, however, but I thought I'd mention and I'm sure future updates will fix some of these minor issues.
