These shirts are great and well worth the price. They are lightweight and easy to stretch around the head and shoulder/elbow joints. I bought a size up and just dried them to shrink them a bit. We bought the small size and it hasn't shrunk much which is ok as I prefer them to be looser on the dog. They fit reasonably well in my opinion, but aren't so wide that they snag on things or too tight that the dog is uncomfortable to wear. After the first wash and first dry, I usually just tumble dry and hang dry to reduce the chance of further shrinkage and extend the life of the shirts. To be honest, if you threw them in the dryer every time, I seriously doubt they would shrink so incredibly that your dog couldn't wear shirts every time. Don't quote me, please read the material label! =] In addition, shirts are designed to be worn on the collarbones and shoulders like humans. It makes it easier to get over the dog's head, which I really appreciate! Definitely train your dogs sooner rather than later to carry successfully lol! I'm sure dogs could easily escape their wardrobe due to their design element lol. FYI: These shirts were purchased for a brawny, athletic, sturdy Shih Tzu female weighing 9.5-10 pounds with a fabulous mohawk.
