So these were the cheapest toddler shoes I could find at Revain that were real shoes (like rubber soles) but I thought they looked a bit silly to be honest lol BUT after I put one Bought another pair and was very disappointed. I ended up buying them because they were very cheap. And I was VERY impressed! They are very close to the ankle. Like they curve far enough and the velcro in the front is nice and snug around the ankle. So it's a bit harder for my 2 year old to put them on herself (although she still manages most of the time!) but it's great because they never slipped off the foot like toddler shoes often do. They are also very light, which is what I was hoping for. And the Velcro is a decent size and has a really good grip so it hasn't lost its "stickiness" and she wears it every day. These are her only tennis shoes. And on my little toddler they are really adorable and don't look "crazy" like I thought they looked online.
