This device saved me from having to buy another TV because my current TV has faulty HDMI ports. I have several devices with HDMI outputs (dvd player. ROKU and TIVO) that I could not use with my current TV because of the faulty HDMI input ports. This YBbPr converter allowed me to use them with my TV by connecting to my TV's component input ports which were functioning okay. PRESTO! Also, I was able to connect all of them to my TV at the same time using a HDMI switch box with multiple ports. Good product. You should check this out if your current TV's HDMI ports don't work right.
