I got several new piercings (nostril, cube and three curls forward) and got the second and third hole in the earlobe with my four daughters. We used a lot of salt mixture. . . either by mixing piercing salt with sterile saline or by using Neilmed piercing spray. I liked the soaking feel, but doing it every night with our busy schedules was unrealistic, so we tended to rely on the spray more than we should. The problem we had was that the Neilmed was difficult to use in my hand to use the correct pressure to spray and/or it hit too hard or made a mess. It comes with two boxes in a plastic bag. The spray itself comes in a blue bottle, which is designed to protect against photodamage. It has the typical pump spray that does an excellent job of wetting the piercing without damaging it. I've found that a spray followed by a warm shower washes away any crusts without having to scrub them off. I also found them perfect for travel or everyday use like at the gym after a workout or swimming. By the way, this salt spray isn't just for piercings. We recently used it on my daughter's skinned knee and it seems to have helped it heal faster and with less pain. Will keep using it!
