There aren't many over-the-counter food options for cats with impaired kidney function. My cat eats prescription food, but she usually only eats half of what she's given. Dry food makes him diabetic so I limit myself to wet food. He loves this stuff. He eats a whopping 3.5 ounces and doesn't seem to get tired of it. I am currently transitioning offerings from Hills and Royal Canin. And I don't need a recipe for what's beautiful. The only drawback for me is the steep price. I don't think there is a cheap kidney diet option but this stuff is definitely the most expensive.
