These are good chalks and work well for children to color on chalkboard walls. They do not break very easy and they color really well. The problem I have with them is that instead of them being tight inside the tubes, the chalk is loose And so if you pick it up the chalk will fall out of the holder. To remedy this I added a little bit of hot glue into the base of the holder and then put the chalk back in the holder. The chalk holder is separate from the screwdown portion so as long as you put the hot glue in the chalk holder and then put the chalk in and let it dry you can then put the holder back together and the chalk will stay in the holder and screw down like it's supposed to. The company needs to work on a design to fix this and that's why I gave this three stars.
