The magnet is not very strong.
Good workmanship. It feels solid. The problem I see is that the inner liner appears rough when used with acrylic, it can create fine scratches that will dull/blur the acrylic surface. I cut out the felt to use as a scrubber in the aquarium, it's not thick. My acrylic tank is 1/4 inch thick, the magnet holds but as soon as you start the brushing motion it detaches from the magnet.
