These things do exactly what they advertise. Blocking reduces the number of cables from the front to the back of the PC case from 20 (10 LED fans) to 8, which I think is a win. The wires are ferruled and the connections are strong. These aren't the most powerful static pressure fans, but they move a decent amount of air and work great with my Arctic 360 Liquid Freezer II cooler. They also connect easily (albeit only in one direction) to the Lian Li Galahad 360 cooler and sync perfectly via the included controller (note that your motherboard needs a free USB 2.0 connection to which is becoming increasingly rare). The controller did a great job of controlling the LED lighting or handing control over to the motherboard lighting software (Armoury Crate/Aura Sync in my case). There is a known issue with controlling PWMs with software that simply ramps them up to 100% regardless of the PWM settings. There are many workarounds, I just hooked the fans directly to the motherboard and they worked fine. The LED lighting has no hotspots, but there is a small, barely visible protrusion in the center of each fan's lighting housing that shows through. Animations are generally smooth and fluid except at the slowest speeds. 10/10 would buy again just to stay out of the Corsair ecosystem. which simply increases their speed to 100% regardless of the PWM settings.
