A useless product, its not worth the money.

You should not measure the performance of an empty disk, there the read speed will be more than 250 MB / s, because. for empty and TRIM sections, it immediately returns zeros without physically reading them. If you fill the disk and immediately read it for the test, then the result will also be good, because. most likely the recorded data will lie nearby. But if you arrange a random write in a random order to the disk, and then conduct a linear read test, the result will unpleasantly surprise you. (on the screenshot I checked only the first 100GB, it shows that the first 40GB are filled tightly, and then - mostly empty space with occasional files)

Pros
  • Didn't find it. Is that the thickness of 7mm, which means it will fit in any even the thinnest laptop. This is where all the advantages end.
Cons
  • Uses SMR technology. Which means an extremely low speed under load and a strong performance degradation as it fills up. If you write a lot of data at the same time, it starts to become very dull and hang. As a system disk is not suitable at all. Some programs define it as an SSD, tk. supports the TRIM command, but in fact it obviously is not. Defragmentation does not help him practically in any way, because. the physical arrangement of sectors in it does not correspond to the logical one (as in SSD).

Some pros: I liked the external design of the drive, as well as a decent price-quality ratio; in terms of read and write speed, it is not much inferior to more expensive brands. With its cons. The only downside is it's a bit noisy when under load.
