not that loud outdoors

I did a lot of research before purchasing this speaker. I was excited to receive it. I've been using it for 2 days and I'm very happy with it. I will keep it as it is ok. I wish I had the larger version of the XB41. While the sound is good when it's directly in front of you and in a small space indoors, it's a different story outside. I have a very large spa/pool called the Swim Spa. It is 8 1/2 feet x 15 feet tall. I put this speaker on a deck near one end and the volume was at 100%. Standing in my pool about 8 feet away, the noise was minimal. I was hoping he would blow up my backyard. It was depressing. I decided to buy another one (will be here next week) and use the WPC Wireless Party Chain feature to connect 2 speakers. I'm thinking of putting one at each end of my pool. I really hope that helps the sound. Maybe I don't need to turn them on at 100% volume. It must be cool to hear the same sound from both ends of my pool. At the moment, even at low volume outside, you can easily see where it's coming from. Another issue I noticed is the battery life. My research showed that the Sony XB32 has a battery life of 24 hours, but with the backlight and base around 16 hours. I turned off the light as I don't need it during the day but I don't know how to turn off the base. Also, I wanted a base. Today I played 3 hours. I pressed the battery level button and it said "Battery 50%". After only 3 hours.? I was watching some YouTube reviews tonight and one guy said it takes 6 hours from a full charge to 20% battery level. It was a little disappointing. I may update this review after spending some time with my new speaker and as soon as I get my new one next week. Thank you for reading. Update in 2 weeks. I have a second XB32. Together they sound much better. BUT it's a pain for the couple. I got that. You need to connect a second speaker to your phone via Bluetooth. OK. Also, the WPC button does nothing. It seems to be for adding many speakers (party network). According to YouTube I have to press the ADD button on the connected speaker. then the ADD button on the second speaker. The speaker connected first will be disconnected and another speaker will now be connected. It usually takes me 3 and 4 tries to get both speakers to work. All of this is strange. When I go to the pool with my wife you might miss the moment when I play each half for 15 minutes with blue tooth settings and speakers on and off. Today is a big problem. Both speakers were loud at my pool. the guy next door also turned on his radio to compete with me. After 45 minutes, my speakers lost their volume. It was half or 1/4 the maximum level. it was so sad. My battery level was 70%. When I started they were 100% full and after 1 hour they were down to 70% and the max volume was very low. I had both speakers a maximum of 2 feet in front of me and the audio was quiet at best. The only thing I can think of is that the Suu was hot and the speakers got hot. The temperature today was 95 degrees and after 45 minutes in the sun around my pool they had gone bad. These should be floorstanding speakers that you can take to the pool or the beach. Probably not (sad face). I went in and an hour later I checked the speakers and the max volume returned. just a bad time I wanted to blow up the guy next door. I'll repeat this to see if the heat actually kills the volume. I have 2 weeks to return them. Update: From my research, you can't use these speakers above 95 degrees or the volume will drop drastically. After many attempts to connect 2 speakers and all other problems, I have decided to return them. .They are designed for a battery life of 24 hours. But you have to turn off the lights, turn off the bass, turn the volume up from 25% to a maximum of 50%. What the hell. I made them hear the loud base and see the beautiful Christmas lights. Even at 50% battery level it keeps saying "Charge me", "Charge me", "Charge me". So 1-2 hours of battery life is crazy. With one speaker that might be fine, but with two speakers they only connect 25% of the time. You need to play around with them for 15-20 minutes. By now the mood was gone, as was my wife. I remain alone on the patio with my silent speakers. I connect a speaker. When I press the 2nd speaker ADD button, the 1st speaker goes off and then only the 1st speaker works. and so on, you get the picture. Or I'm listening to very quiet music on one speaker, the Sony Music Center app says both speakers aren't connected, even though I know at least one of them is connected! I'm going to get a GTXB60. This one says the same price as 2 XB32s, has a power cord and battery, and doesn't say "keep charging me".
