Worked exactly as advertised to keep my key fob working after the case fell apart. A few drops on concrete floors over the years didn't help. Remove the guts (circuit board) and battery from the old one and put them in the new one. I won't be using it daily so I can't understand how durable this plastic is. It feels less durable (feels more brittle, maybe thinner) than my original 2001 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. As some reviewers pointed out, the part of the key fob that the screw goes into doesn't have a metal insert/nut like Toyota's , likely reducing durability but not functionality. The chain is about the same, only the metal is a little thinner. Will buy again if the other keychain falls apart. One star off for price and lower quality plastic than OEM. Too expensive for a piece of plastic in my opinion. But it's a much cheaper option than a dealer replacement if your electronics are still fine.
