I was hesitant to believe the "doesn't tangle" claim as frankly, its not that different then the spiral screw in dog leashes. They immediately sent me a new one and didn't even require I send back the old one. Second thing that happened is the first time I used these (with rope not wire.thats probably key) was that my dogs never once got tangled. I had two large german shepherds on one tie down with a single rope looped between them (tie down in the middle). They roamed the campsite, ate, drank, did their business, and never once were tangled. It also never came loose or even showed signs of coming loose. The product is amazing, the company is even better. Don't hesitate.
