The wood used to make this thread bowl seemed to be quite strong and sturdy but I was very disappointed , when I received it with a gap between the two parts that make up this mug. Previous bowls I've ordered elsewhere have been made from one solid piece of wood, but this one is made from two. That wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't split. In addition, the inside of the spiral portion holding the yarn was very rough. I didn't have time to send it back and get a new one, so I had to sand the inside of the spiral and fill the torn part to keep the yarn from getting caught. A bit disappointing for a decent product.
