This drive has a speed drop from 18MB/s to 2MB/s with each transfer. The files I transferred had at least two dips in speed each time. In the long run, this meant that transfers that were supposed to take 1 minute could take up to 3 minutes or more. The performance was so out of the box. It's unacceptable that a new product can't deliver target speeds right out of the box. SanDisk used to be a popular storage brand, but with this experience it was clear that something had changed in terms of quality. I would say stay away from this drive and find something with more reliable speeds unless you have a lot of time to waste. I will request a refund if these speed drops continue.
