Coated in a polyurethane coating

Don't buy this if you're trying to keep coatings out of your food. It's shiny like plastic and when I scratched it with a knife it's clear it's covered in some nasty seal coasting. Threw it away immediately

The bamboo wooden slotted spoon is not durable and can easily break apart when exposed to heat or pressure, making it an unsuitable choice for heavy-duty cooking

These are great for pasta, but don''t put them in the dishwasher or spank your wife with them. I think the dishwasher might weaken them, two of mine snapped after about a month. Split right down the middle.
