Review on πŸ”Œ BEVA Protective Extension Office for Protector Tower – ETL Enhanced by Dylan Goins

Revainrating 2 out of 5

There is no proof that it is actually a surge protector

I bought this item based on three characteristics in its online description: (1) its shape/design, ( 2) its guessed surge protection rating of 1050J and (3) that it was ETL listed. However, upon delivery I looked closely at the product packaging, "instruction manual" and the item itself and could not find any indication that the item is a surge protector or that it is ETL listed. The ETL designation (or UL designation) is the pride of manufacturers, and the ELT or UL mark appears on the device itself or as a label on the power cord; neither the one nor the other was and was not on the box. There was also no indication that the device was a surge protection device and its protection class. There was a comment on the box that said it had overload protection, but this refers to the current draw going through the unit to the connected devices, not the surge of current coming into the home through the mains. While both are important, they are different. So the only reasonable conclusion is that it's just a tower-design splitter. While I wanted something with this design, I wanted surge protection and ETL designation, which this device doesn't really seem to have. I returned it to Revain and appreciate the excellent return policy and system.
