Based on reviews, I started with the 3XL then down to 2XL and finally stopped with the XL
The only thing I can figure is people like to wear this over more clothes but I am just wearing it over a thin knit shirt.The seams are sturdy, the boning comfortable and strong, I have this for a costume but I tend to think I'll be wearing it for more than that =)
