I used to have an OXO pineapple corer and didn't realize how much I liked it until I lost it when I was moving. I bought it because it was half the price. This center punch is strong and gets the job done, but isn't as light as an OXO center punch because it doesn't have a ratcheting handle. As soon as I finished coring my first (and last) pineapple with this core, I knew I would be returning to OXO. Even at double the price, the OXO is worth it because the ratcheting handle makes it a lot easier to remove the pineapple core from my wrist.
