Heavy enough not to tip over and has a nice flat bottom.
I got this cup as a gift and I'm just thrilled. No more chasing balls of yarn trying to get them back. Works as it should. Inside it could be just 1 inch bigger, but it's still a very handy piece. The inside of the bowl is nice and smooth so the yarn doesn't get tangled. Very happy with that.
