Review on Skull & Co. GripCase Lite Bundle: Premium Comfort Case with Interchangeable Grips [for All Hand Sizes] - Nintendo Switch Lite- Coral by Devin Tanner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm sure it would be better with a different style of play, but I play on my stomach.

Well, I'm playing Switch lite. I've bought a case for it before and sent it back because it didn't feel comfortable. I never questioned why this was impractical, but mostly I thought it was the extra weight attached to the device itself. After constantly seeing Facebook ads and my new purchase of Mario 3D all stars, I decided to give it another try. In Tokyo I bought a fully rubberized soft case that encases the entire unit in thick leather with small handles on the back. Used once and never again. Too soft and unwieldy. Seeing various additional handles for it, I jumped on it, yellow like my switch. Nozzles are light but very flexible. The rubber I thought would be glued to the grips wasn't very soft. Mostly it was hard plastic. Then I played with all the different pens. Too small, too crooked, but still very malleable. I wanted softer grips. I started acting out a visual novel, and then I started gaining weight. Then I realized something. (played lying down). I turn on the light switch on the bed on the bed. I would play Animal Crossing for hours. I felt that the extra weight made my arms very uncomfortable. The weight of the entire device rests on my two hands. I played around with the pen tips again. None of them felt particularly comfortable lying down. The only time I played while seated was on the bus but due to Covid I didn't do it that often anymore. The case is much larger than my Hori Switch Lite case and the zippers feel solid, but the zippers themselves are just a very unattractive maroon color. I'm not sure what to do with it. I could get them back, or I could try not to play with the squad above me. But when I have to change my whole way of playing with the grip, it sounds too annoying for me. If you play it prone, it's just extra weight.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few little things
