Review on ๐Ÿชข Ultra-Durable 1000 Foot Black Parachute Cord Paracord: Type III Military Specification 550 by Brian Kumar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much better than I expected

Like many people, I read reviews before I buy my products. Reviews of this paracord were everywhere. I wanted it to be good because the price was so good. But listen guys. This is the reality of the situation. (at least MY situation). Paracord is NOT military gear and shouldn't be. There is a difference in how the 2 are produced. Military-tested for weight, manufacturer's mark and inner strand colored differently depending on the manufacturer. Now commercial paracord is basically the same. Outer nylon sheath and 7 inner strands of 3 layers each. This commercial paracord is what you see EVERYWHERE. Bracelets, gun straps, belts, hammocks and 95% of the things you see are made from consumer/commercial grade paracord. I must also say that the commercial quality has been weight tested in several YouTube videos and even the cheap stuff can withstand the advertised 550 pounds. So I have no problem with people saying it's not a real military cord. My problem was the reviews claiming it wasn't even a commercial cable. I've seen several reviews that say there are only 5 inner strands instead of 7, or that there are 7 inner strands but only 2 coats per strand. No, no and NO. This cord is the same material as mine. Even complaints about bad delivery were cut off. My box was damaged but the coil inside was absolutely PERFECT. Now we have to find out the real reason. I refuse to call other reviewers "liars". I believe there should be different batches from different manufacturers. That makes the most sense. Otherwise it was a real quality control issue and they have now fixed it after complaints. In any case, I have to report that this is the normal/good version of commercial paracord that I've always known. Best price, plus fast shipping, plus good packaging. I have to mention one minus. This cord is a little thinner than the last one I used. It's barely noticeable, but I had to check it out because the reviews were making me paranoid. It's just a little thinner. the same layers. The same look. Anyway, thinner cord makes weaving easier I think. I'll update if this somehow fails.
