These dental floss holders are very similar to the Reach or Listerine daily floss (shown) but the handle is slightly shorter. I like to use whatever filament I like and throw away less plastic as this is a simple reusable pen. those to me. Therefore only Glide floss slides easily between my teeth without breaking and I can use it with this pen. Because my teeth are so close together, I have to wrap the floss very tightly around my fingers to work with my hand, or I'm more comfortable using a floss holder. For the same reasons, I also tried (and really liked) Floss Aid (pictured right, white). I would have just stayed with Floss Aid but my kids wanted thread holders but they think Floss Aid is too big. Well, if a smaller pen gets them to floss more often, I agree. If you're a normal adult, the less expensive "Floss Aid" is probably fine for you, as my hygienist told me. that I have a very small mouth. I have no idea really. But I know I don't find any style of these things too big - each makes it a lot easier for me to brush my very closely spaced teeth comfortably. The only thing I don't like about this floss (left, purple) is that I misread the listing and expected 4 pins instead of 3 and the end of the handle is too big to fit in my ceramic toothbrush holder. However, neither the one nor the other is decisive. In my opinion, each of the two reusable floss sticks is great, just slightly different in design.
