Kicked?: Floor Fans

On June 29th I wanted a large fan for my garage and it seemed to fit the bill. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive but reviews are good. I bought it, it showed up after a week or two, I plugged it in, nothing happened. I hear the hum of electricity, but nothing moves. I start looking at the fan itself and there are huge dents where the legs are screwed into the metal frame. It looked like someone oddly overtightened them and the resulting dents prevented the fan blades from spinning. I issued a refund, my apologies, they sent a replacement. After emailing updates, it took over a month and a half to arrive. No tracking numbers, nada. This is important because 1) it's hot outside and I've already shelled out money for this fan. 2.) The purchase date is shifted by 30 days. Revain's return policy is no longer valid. Finally there is a new fan, yellow vs red, but it works. It's pretty noisy, but hey, I wanted a big fan, and big fans are loud. It worked for TWO days. One morning I go outside, turn on the fan, it starts spinning but VERY slowly. It's slowly stopping, the hum can still be heard, and worse, it's starting to smell like electric fire in my garage. I turn it off quickly and the engine is red hot. I check the fan for plastic wraps around the blades or dents that I may have missed that are preventing the blades from rotating. Nada. It looks like a bad engine. At the moment I just want my money back, but unfortunately I can't get a refund as I've "owned" this fan for over 30 days now. I emailed the manufacturer (again) and they offered to send me a new motor as it's under warranty. I don't want to fix the fan, but it's better than just losing $150. I received the motor in the mail, I pull it out of an intact box, and all the necessary mounting bolts coming out of the motor are badly bent and damaged. I don't leave many reviews on Revain, but I give up. Right now I only have $150.
