We got a pool last year and are still working out the kinks. It is almost always muddy around the edge and my shoes get caked every day when I skim it for leaves. I have a pair of rubber boots that I wear and keep outside, which inevitably get rained in. Same thing for tennis shoes and furry crocs that I wash in the machine then leave outside to dry. a small shower comes by and fills them with water. If I am not careful, I get stuck in a cycle of having wet shoes for weeks.I have wanted one of these for awhile and was happy to have to opportunity to try it out. For the test, I washed my rubber boots in the machine then put them on the boots dryer for an hour. When I went to check them, they were toasty and dry.Pros:--It worked. Rubber boots were dry in an hour.--You can dry two or four boots at the same time. It has caps to cover extra stems when not in use--The shoes were warm, not just dry--Timer dial--Easy to assemble; can be taken apart easily, too--Cord is five feet long--Feels stableCons:--It's kind of big and unsightly (9" x 9" base, almost 2 feet tall). This is "con-ish" because they are all kind of big and unsightly. I have looked at these in stores and felt the same way. It's one of the reasons I hesitated to get one.I am going to keep it in the laundry room hidden away. If you regularly deal with wet boots, this is a great purchase. I will update if I learn something new after using it a few times.
