I bought this a few days ago as I do a lot of video calling and some live streaming and was particularly unhappy with my webcam only on my monitor. I have some good video lights that worked fine, but I figured more lights wouldn't hurt either, so I bought it. In general, my experience with him so far has been positive, but not groundbreaking. I'll start with the good. The overall design is easy to use and highly customizable. Lightweight Arm: Easily adjustable to almost any angle. The light itself can be quite bright, and the different brightness levels on offer really help in getting the right lighting for your setup. The various light temperatures on offer are nice, if not overly wide, but it really only helps the product. And the light diffusion is excellent, I never felt like the light aimed straight at me was too harsh (unless I had it at full and neutral temperature as I have a lighter complexion). And the remote control is a little basic, but as such it's not difficult to use and feels solid. Camera Mount/Mount: This mount is a bit stiffer. This may be a disadvantage (I'll get to that in a moment), but it's also an advantage as it allows you to support many different camera and scaling options. If your light shifts a little it might not be noticeable, but if your camera angle starts to drop it's very odd. I also like the camera mount system. This might seem a bit odd at first, especially if you're unfamiliar with photography equipment. But the instructions are solid, and once you put them together, they're solid and adaptable. It works with almost any webcam that has a mounting screw. It also works with a GoPro, which is nice, and has a separate phone mount if that suits your style more. The mount's head allows for easy twisting and turning to get the best angle. Note, however, that this isn't a ball head mount, so you don't have total control over every angle. was already on the camera arm, I just have to say that it was too short for me. This may not be an issue for everyone as every setting is different, but on my 27" monitor, it was too short. For some reason, it's shorter than the light arm, which is actually quite long. Due to its shorter length and the With the rigidity mentioned above it became quite a hassle to tilt it I found a way to set it up to work but that leads onto my next area of concern: Mounting clamp: This thing is strong which is usually good for weight gain but that's also an issue. I appreciate the strength of the clamp, but the size of the clamp means it can't clamp small edges securely. If you do this and don't take the time to carefully balance the weight, that's when it starts tipping over and wobbling because there is extra room from the attachment to the pivot This would be less of an issue if it weren't for the arm length difference mentioned above. I knew it was most likely a bad idea and had tried every other option before, only the length of my arm made it my only chance and even then I did it with a choppy monitor which I will be replacing soon. That's not a good idea. DO NOT CONNECT TO A MONITOR. In general, it scratched the screen, and when rotated, it scratched the display even more. It's hard to see in my picture, but next to where it was stuck on the monitor it's now ugly scratched. I managed to get it pretty stable just hanging off the edge of the monitor but that took a bit of a balance and to be honest it's not ideal for my setup. I need more light from the other side due to the lighting in my apartment, but when I bring the light to this side it tips over and scratches the monitor since the weight of the camera is there. I don't risk scratching my primary monitor right to do this. So it will most likely make me think the camera is back on my monitor and I can focus my good camera light on this arm reflecting off the wall behind the monitor with the ring light on the left aimed straight at me is. I know this won't help most people, but I think some people who know lighting and cameras will appreciate the ideas it can bring to life. TL; DR: This is a solid set for those who need more light in their videos. , especially those who make a lot of video calls or streams to justify even a small investment in it. Just remember to check the size/length of the brackets to make sure they fit you and do not attach them to your monitor unless you are willing to scratch it.
