Both of my kids (4 and 6) love this lotion! My son gets really dry skin,all over, during the winter. So, I try to use lotion after bath time. The scent of this lotion is a pleasant lavender (as apposed to old lady lavender scent). The fact that both of my kids like the scent says a lot, because getting them to agree on anything is a chore! The moisturizing aspect seems to be working too, no complaints of itchiness and no signs of dry skin the day after bath. I don't know if the lotion itself has any "soothing" affects on my kids, but I think having a body massage in general makes them more sleepy and go to bed more easily.
