The site said for me to order 1XL, but I ordered a Large in Fushia & it was fitted to my body. Then I reordered a 1XL set of 3. You can see from the photos the 1XL is about 3" bigger around, 1 1/2" on each side. 1XL fits a little looser, which is okay too because I plan to wear them as winter PJ's.So, if you want fitted and normally wear a women's medium, I would order a Large.The fabric feels thick enough I wouldn't worry about see through, but I didn't order a light color.I really like the fabric, very stretchy, but seems to bounce back. Haven't washed them yet, but I don't think there will be problems.Washes great & in the dryer.Hope this helps.
