I bought these pants for camping and outdoor activities during the cold season. The fabric was thinner and lighter than I expected. It's a kind of elastic material. I like the number of pockets. They are very comfortable because they are very light. When it rains, they get wet and absorb water. I only wear them in summer. They are not that hot to wear. They don't breathe well so they're as hot as blue jeans. But due to the thinness of the material, they are comfortable in summer. I hope that keeping them warm will make them nice in the winter. Maybe with underwear underneath they could block the wind and even be very warm in winter. I haven't torn them yet and after they get dirty they come out of the wash brand new. So I have no complaints. I was only expecting thicker pants like Carhartt. All in all a great pair of pants for outdoors or around town.
