Very good line filter

Very good line filter. There have been many sudden power outages, and so far there has been no damage to printers, computers, laptops. They have timers that you can program to automatically trigger the surge protector. I find this very handy, especially when I'm out of the office during the day and forget to turn off the monitor, the programmed surge protector kicks in at the specified time like everything else. Users must first program the current time and day for any schedules they enter thereafter to take effect. There's a P for pm in the bottom right corner of the screen, or a very small A for amit, so have a magnifying glass handy. The top shows the day of the week (e.g. MO for Monday, TU for Tuesday, etc.) and on the far left shows whether it's on or off. When setting the hours (Time), especially the minutes, scroll by the minute. I haven't found a way to get past 15 minutes. intervals anyway. There are 6 sockets and yes you can program each one differently. You set the timer for each outlet the same way you set the current time and day, except instead of pressing the TIME button, you press the TIMER button. Each time you press the timer button, you will see a number on the left. This indicates the source number you are programming. If you see the number 1, program the 1st output, if you see the number 2, then program the 2nd output, etc. To the right of the number is either "ON" or "OFF". Again, it's very small and barely noticeable, but it's there. This tells you when to turn a particular outlet on or off. For example, if I see "ON" next to the number 1 and enter the time 6:00, then that particular outlet will turn on at 6:00. I can then program the same outlet to turn off the power at any time.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
