Review on πŸ“ Optimal Precision with our Cross Line Laser Level Plumb by Luke Cotton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good customer service from seller

(updated) After I posted the review below, the seller contacted me and replaced my unit free of charge. The new block works as it should. I've upgraded my rating from 3 to 4 stars because of the excellent customer service. I bought it to line walls in an unfinished basement and to transfer panel lines from floor to ceiling. level is perfect. I checked the cross lines with a 6 foot level and checked the plumb points with a 16 ounce plumb bob. Both are at about 30 feet and 10 feet respectively. Came with everything advertised. I haven't tried the target or magnetic mount yet. This has saved me a lot of time running up and down plumb stairs trying to chalk lines on the ceiling. flashes every 3 seconds to indicate that self-alignment is not possible, even if the pendulum is unlocked, the device is on a level surface and the projected lines are perfectly straight. This is a minor annoyance. I've tried turning the unit on and off and changing batteries, locking and unlocking the pendulum, tilting the unit out of alignment range and then getting it back to self-leveling, but it keeps blinking no matter what. The horizontal line is good and bright even at 30ft, moving up the walls to the block with no noticeable change in brightness, the vertical line is bright on the opposite wall but barely visible on the floor between the block and the opposite wall. The line is bright on the ceiling but fades noticeably at about 10 feet in front of the unit on the ceiling. I'll try a taller tripod to see if that helps. as the included stand is only about 4 inches tall. I tried putting a small stand on top of the chair for extra height but that didn't improve the line of the floor. I'll probably try to get the manufacturer to fix or replace the unit as they offer a 2 year warranty and flashing is a hassle. Also, I wouldn't know if it was really out of alignment range as it blinks no matter what.
