I have an alaskan malamute whose stools twice a day will probably weigh over a pound each. (And he usually poops as he walks, so the full bag bounces in my hand until we get to the trash can.) Walking the dogs and carrying around a plastic bag is a chore, even if the bag was completely opaque. The only downside is that these things are almost impossible to open when they get wet (sweat, rain, machine wash, etc.). While other bags will withstand a full wash-dry cycle and come out wide open but otherwise wear just as well, these will shrink. So for travel and casual trips I usually keep them in a dispenser rather than my bags, and I have a roll of green bags that I can fold and carry in my bag for runs and hikes.
