Review on Lorell LLR59696 Capacity Riveted Shelving by Lisa Chandler

First they sent me this product instead of the Edsal shelf I ordered. Glad the seller refunded me the difference in price. However, once assembled I'm not sure if it's worth what I paid for. The frame is scratched in many places, some parts are even dented, making one wonder if this item has ever been used. Second, the mechanism for attaching the vertical sections to create the vertical block appears extremely fragile and can break under too much pressure. The thin vertical metal rails are edge balanced and supported by a frangible piece of metal that holds them together. There is too much downward force and I can definitely see the metal posts slipping and collapsing. And I have no way of knowing if I assembled the racks correctly because the instructions don't even mention connectors. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't break down as this was my third attempt at getting such a heavy duty shelf and I was running out of patience.
